Ans: It’s on old digha, near 2nd beach road connected to foreshore road. Very popular on old digha main beach.
Q-5. What is the history of digha and geography location with transport ?
Ans: Originally, there was a place called Beerkul, where Digha lies today. This name was referred in Warren Hastings’s letters as Brighton of the East. An English businessman John Frank Snaith started living here in 1923 and his writings provided a good exposure to this place. He convinced West Bengal Chief Minister Bidhan Chandra Roy to develop this place to be a beach resort. It is located 185 km from Kolkata/Howrah via Mecheda and 100 km from Kharagpur railway station, this proximity has probably helped this small hamlet to emerge as a popular weekend getaway with number of good hotels and tourist lodges. Digha is connected to

Kolkata/Howrah by a highway and a rail-link via Tamluk.
There is bus service from Digha to Dharmatala bus stand of Kolkata and many other parts of West Bengal. It is almost a 4 hour journey from Kolkata. Bus service is also available from towns across West Bengal such as Midnapore, Durgapur, Bankura, Asansol, Bardhaman, Howrah, and, also from Orissa via Cuttack and Balasore (Baleswar).
In 2004, train services have started for Digha railway station(Station Code : DGHA).Right now there are three express train from Digha to Howrah per day in including duranta, local trains and long distance trains from jlpaiguri, vishakapattonam, puri, asansole.etc.

Ans: 1. Udaipur
This is a spectacular beach, 3.5 km from our hotel , in West Benga and Orissa Border. One part of this clandestine beach is in West Bengal and the other in Orissa. One enters this beach just walking or driving along Bengal-Orissa border.where the mighty Subarnarekha river merges into the Bay of Bengal, is an additional attraction.
2. Lord Shiva Temple At Chandaneswar
This place is Only 8 km away from our hotel the century old Temple of Lord Shiva at Chandaneswar,near Bengal and with in Orissa near Border. Nearly half million people and pilgrims visit the temple. This temple comes on the way to talsari .
3. Junput
It is 45km away from ours hotel famous for fish drying and fishing. It also has a fine-looking sea coast. The place offer beautiful sea-view and lines of casuarina trees. Brackish water fish farming are done here. During low-tide Junput beach becomes very wide and long. Sunrise and sun set are very beautiful is look at.
 4.Shankarpur
Shankarpur, also known as virgin beach, only 14 km from our hotel. It is also a regular fishing harbour. . The morning sun reflecting on the sea waves in the east, and the local fish-boats on the coast offer excellent photographic opportunities.
5. Talsari
A small delta on Bay of Bengal, only 8 km away from ours hotel located on Orissa . Talsari is a great spot to watch the gleaming beauty of sunrise and sunset and picnic spot also.
6. Mandarmani
Mandarmani is a small virgin beach on Bay of Bengal, only 35 km from ours hotel. It is also a fast developing tourist spot.
